I’m here to fulfill what you people asked for. More roundup articles on cane and rattan furniture were requested by a few of you. I’m back today with another compilation of furniture for you guys.
Although they are not the same, rattan and cane come from the same source (here’s an excellent justification). The rattan tree’s cane is its outer bark. Cane is often used as “accents” on furniture, whereas highly strong rattan is typically utilized to build chairs and furniture (like the backs of chairs and also used in cabinet panels).
Today is dedicated to rattan bookcases and shelves! So let’s get started with this roundup without further ado.
1. Traditional Rattan Bookcases
The Serena and Lily Balboa Bookcase series is perfect if you want to achieve the traditional rattan bookcases style. Pick between a broader or a narrower bookcase.
This bookcase is hand wrapped in rattan and constructed from solid hardwood and engineered wood. Take a look at the Burke Decor Fargesia Bookcase for a comparable design at a more affordable price. It can fit in those small locations because it is just 24 inches wide and 64 inches tall! There is a fantastic selection at Burke Decor.
The Burke Decor Caprice and Higgs Bookcases are both worth taking a look at because they both include cane accenting the back of the rattan bookcase. The Caprice actually has a very similar appearance to the Philene from Lulu and Georgia and the Dolores from Pottery Barn (possibly the same, let’s be honest). So if you like this one, look for a better deal somewhere!
The Mateo Etagere from Jayson Home is an excellent alternative if glass shelves are what you desire for your rattan bookcases. It has five clear glass shelves and is fashioned of a rattan-wrapped frame that is 80 inches tall and 30 inches wide.
The Wood and Cane 4 Bookshelf bookcase from Hearth and Hand, which is sold at Target, is another stunning option that is also quite reasonably priced. Customers praised it highly and I absolutely adore how plain it looks. The classic rattan bookshelves are concluded with this West Elm beauty. The bookcase’s back was covered in braided cane that was arranged in a circle. At 98.5 inches tall, it is quite tall!
2. Rattan bookcases in the boho style
Let’s start with the Urban Outfitters Ria Bookshelf. This is an excellent option for you if you want to give your room a truly boho feel! It has rounded corners and is totally constructed of rattan. There are many options for rattan and cane furniture at Burke Decor, as I have indicated.
If you want to create a very summery, beachy bohemian atmosphere, this Elwood Flat Rattan bookshelf is a great choice. It is entirely made by hand from rattan, so no two pieces are precisely same. The Irving from Anthropologie is another fantastic option for arched rattan bookcases. This one is 71 inches wide, so you’ll need more room for it, but it’s incredibly striking!
It has a certain boho vibe with to its rattan frame, woven rattan bookcases, and wooden legs. The Boho Woven Rattan Bookcase from Homary has also captured my heart. Even if it’s smaller, the front’s curves are gorgeous! I can absolutely see this in a kid’s room (just how they built it), but it would also look great in a corridor, bathroom, or reading corner to draw attention. Homary is similar to Wayfair in that it features an absurd number of alternatives, the most of which are offered at affordable pricing.
All orders are eligible for free shipping, and there is a 30-day return policy. I’m curious if you guys have ever tried them because the reviews appear to be hit or miss. Check out the 78-inch-tall Edgewater Rattan Etagere on Wayfair while we’re talking about it. This appears to be a vintage item! It comes in nearly 20 different colors and is made completely of durable wicker and rattan.
3. Rattan bookcases with arches
These lovely bookcases made of rattan are arched. Consider adding some arching accents to a room that has a lot of squares, such as furniture, mirrors, and artwork, to soften up all those sharp edges. Let’s begin with the lovely Lina Book that was sold by One King’s Lane. I have a very airy, light feeling about it. An ideal layout to prevent a room from appearing cluttered.
Similar to the Mateo Etagere from Jayson Home with the glass shelves, thisrattan bookcases is bigger and has more rounded corners. Check out the Tall Sienna Arched Nylah Bookcase from World Market for a more budget-friendly choice. Actually, there are two excellent choices at World Market.
Rubberwood (which is incredibly durable) is used to make the Nylah Bookcase, along with plywood. The rear of it has a distinctive swooping pattern. This would make a wonderful bathroom accent item! The Rattan Arch Darlene Bookshelf is one of my personal favorites and their second alternative. (Not to be confused with Ozark’s Darlene.)
This bookshelf is made of rubber wood and rattan and has four fixed shelves. I adore how the bookcase is encased in woven rattan. Finally, we have this stunning item from Homary, the Natural Rattan Bookcase. In conclusion, I hope this was helpful in your hunt for the ideal rattan bookshelf!
